About the Homeowners Association

The Village Cottages homeowners association (HOA) is a sub-association of the Aliso Viejo Community Association (AVCA) within Aliso Viejo, CA.

The primary purpose of the HOA is to protect property values and foster a cohesive community environment. By establishing guidelines for everything from architectural changes to parking, the HOA aims to create a uniform and well-maintained neighborhood that benefits all residents.

While the Village Cottages HOA is managed by a Board of Directors guided by the CC&Rs of the community, it is still subject to the AVCA CC&Rs as well as the Aliso Viejo Municipal Code and Ordinances.

Some of the regulations the Village Cottags HOA oversees include the following.

  • Architectural guidelines
  • Landscaping standards
  • Parking regulations
  • Pet policies
  • Rental policies and restrictions
  • Noise and nuisance restrictions
  • Trash and recycling guidelines
  • Use and maintenance of common areas
